Brokeback Mountain was directed by the famous Taiwan born Chinese director, Ang Lee, starring Heath Ledger (as Ennis Del Mar), Jake Gyllenhaal (as Jack Twist), Michelle Williams and Anne Hathaway.

The movie was shot mainly in Alberta Canada highlighting the beautiful and majmajestic landscapes of Southern Alberta. (See filming locations.)
